Full-time position, 40 hours per week
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Public Works Manager and/or the supervisor, the Operator Labourer is required to perform professional maintenance, construction or repair work on roads, sanitary sewers, municipal drains, water service and garbage collection.
Requirements
- Successful completion of Grade 12 (high school diploma) or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a municipal or related field.
- Valid DZ driver’s license is mandatory.
- Must be able to work in both official languages (English and French).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to interact effectively with residents, coworkers, and external vendors.
- Ability to perform physical tasks.
- Must be available for a flexible work schedule when required.
- A copy of the driving record must be submitted upon hiring and is a condition of employment.
Assets:
- Valid AZ driver’s license.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Salary
Class 4 (blue collars) of the unionized salary scale: $26.66 to $30.86/hour.
