Every October, we make it a priority to talk with residents. This year, we’re focusing on barriers to accessing recreation programs—and the kinds of programs, times, and formats that interest you most.
The survey is open October 1–31. It’s short, and your input directly shapes future programming and supports. Join the conversation!

What this survey explores
We’re asking about:
- Your household’s participation in programs offered by the City, the YMCA, and community organizations/private businesses (now or in the past).
- Program priorities you think the City should focus on (e.g., preschool, children’s day camps, athletics, arts & culture, STEM, youth, adult, seniors).
- Preferred times (weekday evenings, weekend mornings/afternoons/evenings).
- Why you participate (health, skills, fun, meeting people, challenge, relaxation, competition).
- What gets in the way (health, time, cost, transportation, timing, location, awareness, interest).
Income range (optional insight) asked in ranges to help us understand affordability and plan supports fairly across the community.
Why your voice matters
Your feedback helps us:
- Design programs that match community interest and schedules.
- Reduce barriers—including cost, transportation, and awareness.
- Strengthen partnerships (e.g., with the YMCA and local organizations) to broaden what’s available.
