The City of Clarence-Rockland’s landfill site is located at 2335 Lalonde Road, Bourget. It accepts solid and non-hazardous waste from residential, commercial, and industrial sources within the municipality.

Thursday: 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The City of Clarence-Rockland landfill site is located at 2335 Lalonde Road in Bourget. It accepts solid, non-hazardous residential, commercial and industrial waste generated within the municipality.
Each residential address in Clarence-Rockland may dispose of a cumulative total of 140 kg of waste per year at the landfill free of charge (a $30 recycling fee applies to mattresses).
Photo identification with proof of residency will be required;
The resident must be present to qualify for the program;
One address per load will be accepted;
Residents may visit the landfill several times throughout the year (from January 1 to December 31) until they reach the 140 kg weight limit;
Once the free 140 kg limit has been reached, fees will be charged based on the weight of the load;
Residents may continue to use the landfill site after reaching the free 140 kg limit;
All items accepted free of charge must be properly sorted and placed in the appropriate area at the landfill site; otherwise, a mixed-load surcharge will apply.
We regret to announce that, for reasons beyond our control, silage plastics will no longer be recycled at the landfill as of March 31, 2022. We are currently looking for a solution and will provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Other Important Information

After exceeding the free limit, standard fees apply based on the weight of the load.
Sorting Requirements
Items that are normally free to dispose of must be properly sorted at the landfill.
A mixed load surcharge will apply if items are not sorted correctly.
The following items are accepted free of charge at the landfill site when properly sorted.
Garden waste;
Branches (up to 12 inches in diameter);
Household hazardous waste (100 kg limit);
Blue and black box recycling;
Refrigerant free scrap metal;
Tires;
Textiles;
Electronics;
The following items are accepted at the landfill site.
Solid waste, non-hazardous, residential and commercial;
Construction and demolition waste;
Items with refrigerant;
Sand and concrete;
Lumber;
Contaminated Soil - a surcharge may be applicable and is subject to the approval of the Department Director;
Asbestos - a surcharge may be applicable and is subject to the approval of the Department Director.
The following items are not accepted at the landfill site.
Sludge from septic tanks or septic tanks;
Highly flammable or volatile substances, including ash;
Carcasses of any animal or part thereof, except kitchen waste;
Transported sewage;
Sewage, human or animal excrement, excluding properly packaged pet excrement;
Explosive substances;
Ammunition, firearms;
Pharmaceuticals or hazardous chemical waste;
Pathological waste;
Liquid waste;
Sharp objects;
Any hazardous materials such as poisons, hot bottom ash, corrosives, acids, pesticides, herbicides, radioactive materials, industrial process sludge, biomedical waste, substances that may cause personal or environmental problems;
Materials from a materials recovery facility;
Live animals or birds;
Any material subject to a government landfill ban having jurisdiction over the City of Clarence-Rockland;
Any material deposited with the intention of harming any vehicle
Any waste that is suspected of having been or has been generated outside the limits of the City of Clarence-Rockland or for which a proof of origin cannot be provided upon request.
