Take Notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Clarence-Rockland, on the 11th day of June 2025, passed By-Law No. 2025-64, to redivide the City of Clarence-Rockland into wards, pursuant to Section 222 of the Municipal Act, 2001(the Act).
A copy of By-law 2025-64 is available for examination on the City’s website at www.clarence-rockland.com or during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) in the offices of the City located at 1560 Laurier Street, Rockland, ON K4K 1P7.
Pursuant to subsection 222(4) of the Act, the Minister, or any other person or agency, may file an appeal in respect to the by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal setting out their objections to the By-law and the reasons in support of the objections. A notice of appeal must be filed within 45 days after the By-law to redivide the wards was passed. Appeals are to be filed with the City Clerk (1560 Laurier Street, Rockland ON K4K 1P7) no later than 4:00 p.m., on Monday, July 28, 2025, and must be accompanied by the prescribed fee, of $1,100 in the form of a certified cheque or money order payable to the ‘Minister of Finance’.
The personal information accompanying a submission is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. c. 25, and can form part of the public record which may be released to the public.
