The City of Clarence-Rockland is looking for four motivated Public Works Operators to join its dynamic Public Works team.
This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, operate a variety of specialized municipal equipment, develop new skills, and contribute directly to the essential services that residents rely on every day.
Whether assisting with road maintenance, winter snow removal operations, or municipal infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in keeping our community safe, accessible, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various municipal vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and construction work.
- Install and maintain road signage and traffic safety devices.
- Participate in snow removal and emergency operations.
Conduct equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Valid DZ driver's licence.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Availability for winter operations and emergency situations.
Assets
- AZ driver's licence.
- Experience operating heavy or municipal equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements.

Salary
Class 4 (blue collars) of the unionized salary scale: $27.46 à $31.78/hour.
