Position summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, the operator assistant assists with various maintenance duties and daily operations at the City of Clarence-Rockland’s arenas. Key responsibilities include:
- Ice surface maintenance;
- Performing various janitorial and housekeeping duties;
- Snow removal and salting of sidewalks;
- Providing customer service to arena users and visitors;
- Performing other related duties to support the efficient operation of the arenas.
Requirements
The successful candidate must:
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, punctuality, and a strong team-oriented attitude;
- Be able to communicate effectively in both official languages, verbally and in writing.
Assets:
- WHMIS.
- First aid skills.
Salary
In accordance with the current salary scale for part-time employees:
- High School Student: $17.35 to $18.35/hour
- College/University Student: $19.04 to $23.88/hour
