Early Childhood Educator’s Assistant (6 positions) Status: Part-time position, working up to a maximum of 28 hours/week (Monday to Friday)

The municipal daycares in the City of Clarence-Rockland, including those in rural communities (Clarence Creek, Bourget, Hammond, St Pascal)

Position summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Daycares, the Early Childhood Educator Assistant will support Early Childhood Educators in carrying out programs that promote the development of children 18 months to 12 years old.
Requirements
· Teach children to acquire good hygiene and eating habits. Help children dress properly.
· Be able to meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child, according on the age group.
· Able to complete assigned housekeeping duties and sanitation.
· Able to work as an active team member.
· Must have good communicate skills with children, staff, and parents in both official languages (written and oral).
· Must have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C certificate.
· Must have up-to-date immunization record.
· Must provide a Vulnerable Sector check upon hiring only (dated less than three months) and is a condition of employment.
Asset
· Experience in childcare is an asset.
Salary
$19.59 to $24.57 /hour of the part-time salary scale (non-licensed)
$20.34 to $25.52/ hour of the part-time salary scale (licensed)
