Position Title: March Break Hockey Camp Counsellor (3 positions)
Period: March 16 to 20, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position summary
Under the supervision of the Programming Coordinator and in collaboration with the Head Coach, the Hockey Camp Counsellor contributes to the delivery of high-quality programs for children aged 5 to 12, both on and off the ice. The incumbent ensures that the day camp provides a safe, inclusive, and positive environment in accordance with municipal and provincial policies and procedures. They also ensure that all participants have a safe and positive camp experience.
Requirements
· Relevant experience working with children in hockey-related activities (volunteering, junior coaching, camp counselling, or a similar role).
· Strong skating and hockey skills, with the ability to demonstrate and explain drills in a safe and age-appropriate manner.
· Dynamic, enthusiastic, and professional, with demonstrated discipline and patience.
· Positive leadership skills, creativity, and strong organizational abilities.
· Excellent teamwork skills and experience facilitating activities for children.
· Excellent verbal communication skills in both official languages (English and French).
· Ability to provide at least one relevant hockey-related reference.
Asset:
· Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
· Recognized hockey coaching certification.
· High Five certification.
Salary
$17.35 to $18.35 per hour, in accordance with the part-time employee wage scale.
