Position Title: Engineering Inspector (1 position)

Position Summary
The Engineering Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with municipal standards while working closely with Engineering Technologists and Engineers. This position involves conducting site inspections, reviewing technical submissions for compliance, and supporting project teams to uphold quality and safety standards.
Requirements
· College diploma in Civil Engineering.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering; municipal experience considered an asset.
· Knowledge of level and laser surveying principles and practices.
· Proficiency with AutoCAD, CityWide and Permit Central software.
· Knowledge of Global Information System (GIS).
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Professional, detail-oriented, and adaptable to complex or unforeseen situations.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with developers, consultants, and the public in both official languages (French and English), orally and in writing.
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Valid driver’s license required.
Salary
Class 6 (white collar) of the union wage scale: $31.58 to $38.15/hour.
