Talktober
The City of Clarence-Rockland launches the Talktober initiative!
Take the survey now
Through the month of October, the City of Clarence-Rockland will be talking to its residents even more than usual. We named this initiative Talktober, and this will be the first step in getting a new strategic plan for the municipality.
During Talktober, we will actively seek input from residents on themes such as identity, sustainability, vibrancy, and safety. Our objective is to gain a deeper understanding of your perception of our community and your priorities for long-term sustainability. We will align this with the aspirations for our growing city, and how we can move forward and ensure a safe, healthy, and engaged community.
Talktober near you
Talktober will have several components. The first will be a resident survey. We'll be asking you to answer a few specific questions that will help us shape our community according to your priorities.
Residents and businesses will also be invited to share their point of view at two World Café style public consultations. These sessions have been thoughtfully designed to be engaging and enjoyable for everyone.
- October 16, Bourget Community Centre from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- October 17, Clarence-Rockland Arena from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
City representatives will additionally be on hand at several events throughout the month to talk with you. We will be where you are. You will see us at community events, hockey games and family activities. What do you think the City of Clarence-Rockland will look like in 10 years? We want to know.
Get ready to give us your opinions and ideas. Talktober is arriving fast.
Strategic Plan
With each new Council comes the responsibility to adopt an updated Strategic Plan. The current strategic plan was approved by Council in 2015 and ended in 2022. The document, titled Destination Clarence-Rockland, presented priorities and identified initiatives and projects that have directed the City of Clarence-Rockland in its decision-making process.
