Fall Clean-Up

Week 1 (October 16-20) - North of Baseline Road, including all Baseline addresses.

Week 2 (October 23 to 27) - South of Baseline Road.

Place garbage and bulky items smaller than 4×4×8 feet (1.22×1.22×2.44 meters). A maximum volume of 4'x8'x4' will be collected. 
Exceptions apply.

Place your regular garbage (limit of 3 bags) and recyclables on one side of your driveway and your big items/rubbish on the other side.
Metal must be placed separately, as it will be collected separately.
Place items curbside, directly on the ground, before 6:30 am. 

 Items not picked up
  • Tires
  • Animal carcasses
  • Construction materials, such as: wood, wood with nails, dry wall, earth, stones, rocks, bricks, asphalt paving, patio stones
  • Hazardous materials, manufacturing & liquid waste
  • Propane tanks and fluorescent tubes
  • Vehicle bodies, vehicle parts, truck cabs, boats
  • Organic yard waste (bush, trees, grass, leaves, stumps, etc.)
  • Blue box and black box recyclable materials
  • Electronics (TV, radio, DVD etc.)
  • Bale wrapping plastics
  • Refrigerators or any appliance containing refrigerant gases
 

Garbage Collection

The City of Clarence-Rockland's contractor collects garbage at the curb once a week. The municipality also manages the municipal landfill site, located at 2335 Lalonde Road in Bourget, as well as a transfer station on Industrial Street in Rockland.

Recycling Collection

Your blue and black box recycling program is managed by Circular Materials Ontario, a not-for-profit producer responsibility recycling organization committed to building efficient and effective recycling systems to minimize waste, and ensure materials are reused again and again.

NEW - Leaf and Yard Waste Collection

The City of Clarence-Rockland collects leaves, branches, yard waste seasonally. Starting weekly in September to November 2023 and in 2024, weekly from April to November, residents will be able to place yard waste at the curb on the same collection day as their garbage and recycling.
