School support updates after the June 1st deadline
June 1 was the deadline to update your school support designation with MPAC to ensure accurate information could be provided to Elections Ontario for the creation of the Preliminary List of Electors, in accordance with election timelines.
You can still update your designation after June 1 using MPAC AboutMyProperty™ or MPAC’s online portal for tenants. Your change will be recorded by MPAC and reflected for property assessment and taxation purposes. However, these changes will not be included on the Voters’ List.
After submitting your update with MPAC, you will receive a confirmation email that you can forward to elections@clarence-rockland.com to have your information updated on the Voters’ List.
School support designation
Whether you own or rent your home, your property is linked to a school board – even if you don’t have children or your children aren’t currently attending school. While you’re not required to make a designation, you do have the option to choose which school board you support. If you don’t make a choice, your support will default to the English-Public school board.
Your designation also helps determine how you’re listed on the Preliminary List of Electors, placing you on the correct voters list for the municipal and school board elections.
Ensure your school support designation is up to date before the next election
Homeowners and tenants should review their school support designations, and if needed, update them by June 1, 2026, to be accurately included on the Preliminary List of Electors ahead of the municipal and school board elections on October 26, 2026.
How to update school support designations
Property owners can change their school support designation online using MPAC AboutMyProperty™ or our online portal for tenants. To get started, choose the option that applies to you:

You can submit a paper Application for Direction of School Support form in English or French and mail or email it to MPAC.
