Please respect the rules. They are designed to make the activities fun and safe for all participants:
- Respect staff at all times;
- When the whistle sounds, listen to the staff and follow their instructions;
- Report any accidents or injuries to staff immediately;
- Only persons on skates are allowed on the ice;
- Participants must skate at a reasonable and safe speed, in the same direction as other skaters;
- Field hockey pucks and sticks are not permitted during skating sessions;
- During skating sessions, children 7 years of age and under must always be accompanied by a responsible person at least 16 years of age.
It is up to the users of the City of Clarence-Rockland's facilities to determine if they are in good enough shape to participate in physical activities. Anyone who has health problems that affect his or her ability to participate must take the necessary precautions to ensure his or her safety and should be accompanied by an adult who is aware of his or her health condition.
The following behaviours are prohibited on the ice. Otherwise, you could be forced out off the ice:
- Skating with a child in your arms or in a baby carrier;
- Wearing a headset or using a cell phone or other portable electronic device;
- Eating or drinking on the ice;
- Playing rough, figure or speed skating, or participating in group games (e.g. chases or races);
- Use foul language or inappropriate behaviour;
