Heat Warning Reminder

A heat wave is expected over the coming days. High temperatures can increase the risk of heat-related illnesses, especially for older adults, young children, people with chronic health conditions, outdoor workers, and those without access to air conditioning.

To stay safe:

  • Drink water regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty.
Stay in cool, air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
  • Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
  • Check in on family members, neighbours, and friends who may need extra support.
  • Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
