This By-law establishes standards for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary properties within the City of Clarence-Rockland and requires property owners to prevent conditions that may create health, safety, fire, visibility, environmental, or nuisance concerns. It regulates yard maintenance, weeds and vegetation, naturalized gardens, hazardous conditions, erosion control, snow storage, outdoor storage, derelict vehicles and vehicle parts, graffiti, waste management, garbage and recycling receptacles, composting, infestations, refuse and debris, and standards for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and vacant properties. The By-law also provides for inspections, orders to comply, remedial work, cost recovery, enforcement, and penalties to ensure compliance and protect the health, safety, and well-being of the community.
