Available Positions

2026-004 – Client Service Agent (1 position) | 35 hours/week

You will be at the heart of interactions with residents. Your role will include supporting front desk operations, responding to inquiries in person, by phone, and by email, managing cash and reconciliations, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as opening and closing procedures and data entry to maintain organized records.

2026-005 – Engineering Student (2 positions) | 35 hours/week

You will play a key role in supporting municipal projects. Your responsibilities will include site inspections, monitoring construction progress, performing quantity surveys, and road surveying. You will also provide essential support to the engineering team, project management, and operations for various related tasks, contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects for the City. This position is ideal for students enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology program who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a municipal environment.

2026-006 – By-law Enforcement Officer (1 position) | 35 hours/week 

Your duties will include field inspections, door-to-door visits, and supporting the enforcement of municipal by-laws. You will help maintain compliance by responding to complaints and providing courteous, professional service to residents. This position is ideal for students enrolled in a Police Foundations program seeking hands-on experience in a municipal setting.

2026-007 – Parks and Facilities Assistant (2 positions) | 40 hours/week

You will help maintain and enhance municipal spaces. Duties include general upkeep of parks and facilities, assisting with event setup and installation, and supporting maintenance activities. This position requires good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions. It is ideal for active individuals who enjoy working outside and contributing to their community.

2026-008 – Public Works (3 position) | 40 hours/week

You will actively participate in the maintenance of municipal roads. Responsibilities include daily fieldwork, safe traffic management, and infrastructure inspections. This position requires good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, etc.). It is ideal for dynamic individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to make a tangible contribution to improving their community.

 

To be eligible, you must be enrolled full-time in a related college or university program and returning to studies in Fall 2026. Proof of enrollment is required, and successful candidates must provide a police record check prior to starting employment.

Salary

According to the part-time salary grid: $19.04 to $23.88/hour
