The City of Clarence-Rockland and Desjardins are joining forces to support the development of recreation, sports, and community life through a new naming rights agreement for the Clarence-Rockland Arena, which will now be known as the Desjardins Centre.
The five-year agreement stems from a major financial contribution that will help support this essential community gathering place and enhance the experience of the thousands of residents who visit the arena each year.
"At Desjardins, being a co-operative means helping communities thrive. The Desjardins Centre is much more than an arena. It's where young people develop confidence, families come together, volunteers give their time, and lasting memories are created. We are proud that this investment will help keep this gathering place vibrant and accessible for the people of Clarence-Rockland while creating opportunities to give back through initiatives that support both physical and financial well-being,” said Billy Boucher, Chief Executive Officer of Desjardins Ontario Credit Union.
Desjardins Ontario Credit Union has been a long-standing partner of the City of Clarence-Rockland. The institution has notably contributed to the success of the Clarence-Rockland Festival since its inception through its financial support, helping to provide free and accessible programming for everyone.

The Centre will undergo a transformation over the coming weeks, and the official inauguration will take place on September 20 at 2:30 p.m., during the Rockland Nationals game against the Smiths Falls Bears. This inauguration coincides with the Nationals Family Day, and we warmly invite residents to join us in celebrating this milestone during a festive, family-friendly, and community-oriented afternoon.
