This By-law establishes the administrative requirements for building permits within the City of Clarence-Rockland and regulates applications, reviews, issuance, revisions, transfers, revocation, inspections, occupancy authorization, and closure of permits related to construction, demolition, change of use, temporary buildings, and conditional permits. It sets out submission requirements for plans, specifications, grading and site plans, professional design documentation, alternative solutions, permit fees, refunds, inspection procedures, permit posting requirements, occupancy approvals, and extended permits. The By-law also establishes the roles and authority of the Chief Building Official and Inspectors, provides for enforcement under the Building Code Act, 1992, and ensures that construction and demolition projects comply with the Ontario Building Code, applicable laws, and municipal standards.
