Half-load restrictions are in effect on all roads under the jurisdiction of the City of Clarence‑Rockland during the spring thaw, typically from March to May each year.
During this period, the City of Clarence‑Rockland, in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Transportation, monitors truck and heavy equipment haulage to protect road infrastructure.
Contractors wishing to transport materials, machinery, or equipment during the thawing season must obtain a half‑load permit. There is no fee for this permit.
