Heritage

The City of Clarence-Rockland was founded by courageous people who settled along the Ottawa River and, further south, on farmland. Traces of their passage still exist today.

The conservation of cultural heritage resources is a priority for the municipality. Historic buildings and landscapes remind us of our past and help us better understand and appreciate the identity of our region.

Files and questions regarding the City of Clarence-Rockland's heritage are the responsibility of the Community Development Department. It manages projects and programs to help promote and preserve our local heritage.
