I want to pay an invoice at the counter.

I want to renew my dog licence.

Option 1: Download the application form and mail the completed form as well as your payment to City Hall (1560 Laurier St., Clarence-Rockland ON K4K 1P7). The dog licence will then be mailed to you.

Option 2: Download the application form and deposit the completed form as well as your payment in the drop box outside the Client Service Centre. The dog licence will then be mailed to you.

It is also possible to renew your dog licence at the counter. 

I want to buy a tag for additional waste item.

I want to get a marriage licence.

I want to buy a burn permit.

You can buy a burn permit using our online tool at the following link https://cr.burnpermits.com/

I want a meeting with a municipal employee.

At the moment, communication with residents is mostly done by telephone. Meetings with employees are by appointments only.  

I want a new business licence.

The issuing and renewal of all business licences are currently accepted electronically by email. If not possible to apply electronically, applications can be left in the drop box.

Once the application has been reviewed and is ready to be issued, applicants will be notified of application fees owing via email or phone.

Payment can be made online, by way of cheque deposited into the Municipal drop box or paid at the counter. Once payment is received, the business licences will be issued electronically, or arrangements can be made to be picked up.

Finances

I want a copy of an invoice/statement of accounts.

Construction

I want to submit a construction permit request or want to book an inspection. Is it still possible?

The City of Clarence-Rockland is issuing building permits. A city representative will be contacting all applicants and instructing them on the payment process.

For new permit applications, please send them by email to construction@clarence-rockland.com or leave them at our drop box at city hall.

General Inquiries

  • Otherwise, you can leave a message with Client Service at 613-446-6022 who will forward your call to the appropriate representatives for a response or you can send an email directly to zoning_zonage@clarence-rockland.com
  • Please note that we cannot accept request for Zoning and compliance reports at this time.
  • Electronic submission of planning applications (Site Plan, Official Plan, Subdivision, Zoning, Minor Variance, Consent and pre-consultation) can be submitted at zoning_zonage@clarence-rockland.com.
  • Applications can be found here: http://www.clarence-rockland.com/index.php/en/applications
  • Payments can be made by cheque using the dropbox which is located outside City Hall at 1560 Laurier Street. Please clearly mark that it is for the Planning Division.
  • Planning Committee meetings are postponed until further notice.
  • The City will not deem the applications as complete as long as public meetings are not permitted. However, the City will do its best efforts to review reports, plans and documents to reduce the delay once the application is deemed complete. If you cannot sign the application in front of a Commissioner of Oaths, you can still submit the application. We will communicate with you once City Hall resumes its regular operations in order to have the application signed and commissioned.

I want to rent a municipal facility

Most of our municipal facilities are closed until further notice. Please call 613-446-6022 for more information. 

Waste collection

Is the waste collection happening as usual?

Yes, the waste and recycling collection is taking place as schedule.

I want to go to the landfill site

The municipal landfill site, located at 2335, Lalonde Road in Bourget, reopened on Tuesday, May 5th at 8:30 am. This includes the recycling depot for metals, hazardous waste, tires as well as grass and garden clippings.  

The City of Clarence-Rockland asks residents to follow the instructions below: 

  • No cash accepted! Payments can be made by credit or debit card only. 
  • In order to comply with the physical distancing requirements, a limited number of vehicles will be allowed on site at the same time;  
  • We ask you to be patient and respect physical distancing as we are expecting a great number of users; 
  • Present your driver's licence to the attendant through a closed window to confirm the proof of your residence;  
  • Once on the scale, use the intercom to contact the attendant.    

Infrastructure

I have a problem with my water/waste water service.

Complaints will be received and studied but employees will not go in residences anymore.

Other

I want to bid on a tender and the physical offices of City Hall are closed.

Companies or individuals who want to bid on a project presently in tender can do so by leaving their envelope in the lock box outside Client Service Centre. Questions and Answers will be treated as usual.

What is happening with the capital projects that were approved in the 2020 budget?

The present situation has no instance on ongoing projects.
