CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – August 31, 2021 – The watermain break on Du Parc Avenue was repaired yesterday evening and the service has been restored to all affected homes and businesses. However, the road repair work will continue for the next two weeks. Access to L’Escale secondary school and the Clarence-Rockland Public Library will not be affected, but will be modified to accommodate the construction work. Furthermore, the City is asking that residents follow the detour to access the high school and library.
Residents will notice that tap water can have a whitish colour. This colouration is caused by air bubbles in the water network and will disappear by itself. The water is perfectly safe to drink.
The watering ban for exterior use is maintained until September 2, 2021, at 8:00 am, but residents can use water normally inside.
The City of Clarence-Rockland would like to thank the population for its patience and understanding.
