Stay cautious during your winter activities

CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – January 5, 2021 – The City of Clarence-Rockland wishes to remind residents to be careful during their outdoor activities.
The mild temperatures is making the sledding hill in the Alain Potvin Park very popular and observing physical distancing challenging, but it is the responsibility of all users of the park to stay two meters from others. To reduce the number of people at Alain Potvin Park, we would like to remind residents that it is also possible to slide at Jules Saumure Park, located on Céline Street in Clarence Creek.
Skating Rinks
In addition to the skating path at Alain Potvin Park, the City of Clarence-Rockland maintains 8 outdoor skating rinks. The present mild weather is not favourable to build ice for skating. We will communicate more information regarding our skating rinks in the coming days.
Safety Instructions
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we ask residents to follow these guidelines while visiting the sledding hills:
• Stay at least two metres away from people who are not in your family bubble;
• Avoid physical contact between users;
• Wash your hands before and after your visit with soapy water or disinfectant;
• Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow; and
• Do not visit the sledding hills if you are sick.
