Update on Municipal Services Delivery

CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – June 30, 2020 - City Hall remains closed to the public until further notice, however, the City of Clarence-Rockland's administrative staff continue to work from home.The best way to contact staff is by email. The following is an update on the delivery of some services:  

Community Events

A Virtual Canada Dayshow will be presented on July 1st, 2020, from 9:30 am to noon. It will be broadcasted on Facebook Live on the City of Clarence-Rockland page, and onthe TVC22 television channel.

The Municipal Daycare Service is preparing to reopen followingdirectives from the Province of Ontario. The opening of 6 daycares is scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2020.


The majority of municipal parksamenities are open with the exception of play structures.

Economic Development

An online business directory is available on the City’s Businesses can register to appear by filling in the required information fields.


  • It is possible to pay taxes, water and sewer invoices, business permits and daycare fees online. Information is on the website’s homepage Residents can also pay invoices through their banking institution or by cheque sent by mail or dropped in the deposit box located outside City Hall.
  • Building permits can be paid by e-transfer to ar@clarence-rockland.comor by wire transfer (fees for this option apply and are not reimbursed by the City). The Building Department will provide additional information to the applicants at the time of payment.
Burn Permit

An online portal to apply for a fire permit is available on the City's website

Landfill and Transfer Station

The landfill site and transfer station are operating as per the regular schedule. Physical distancing measures have been put in place.
