Requests to dispute a City of Clarence-Rockland Penalty Notice are reviewed by the Parking Review Committee. A Request for Review form should be submitted within 15 days and no later than 30 days after the issued date on the Penalty Notice.

Requests will not be considered or reviewed for vehicles that were:

  • blocking vehicular or pedestrian traffic; or
  • parked in a No Parking area; or
  • parked in an area posing a risk to safety (fire lanes, hospitals, etc.)

You, or your representative, can make your request online or in person. Telephone support is available for any questions about how to submit your request.

Online request
  1. complete the online Request for Review form
  2. upload any relevant supporting documents

In person request
  1. visit Client Services, Ground Floor, 1560 Laurier Street, Rockland
  2. complete a Request for Review form
  3. submit copies of any relevant supporting documents

The review process

Each disputed Penalty Notice is reviewed by the Parking Review Committee. The review may include but is not limited to:

  • reviewing any evidence provided with the Request for Review form
  • examining the licence plate history to identify past infractions and cancellation reasons, if applicable
  • verifying proper signage in the vicinity of the infraction location
  • verifying that an accessible parking permit is valid

Results of your review

Once all information has been reviewed and a decision made, you will be contacted by the method provided on the Request for Review form.
