Groundbreaking ceremony held as construction starts on new A.T.G. facility

 

CLARENCE- ROCKLAND – April 9, 2018 –  It is an exciting day for A.T.G. Industries Inc. and the community of the City of Clarence-Rockland.

 

A.T.G. Industries Inc. (“ATG”) is a manufacturing company that specializes in multi axis computer numerical control (CNC) milling and CNC turning of raw metals and surface finishing such as chemical films, anodization, liquid and powder coating, for the aerospace and high-tech sectors. ATG are employing approximately 40 people from their current headquarters at 729 Industrielle Street. The current facility contains specialized industrial equipment and machinery used to produce high precision and quality products for delivery to clients who demand a secure and controlled production environment.

 

A ground-breaking ceremony was held Monday April 9, 2018 for a new A.T.G. Industries Manufacturing facility located off 731 Industrielle Street. Excavation has begun on the site as much of the top soil has already been stripped away.  Once complete, the 26,280 square feet, multimillion dollar facility will house over 50 employees. The ceremony took place in the company of Mayor Guy Desjardins and many other City of Clarence-Rockland officials and included representatives from OakWood, PCL, IDEA and BDC.

 

“It is a great day for the economy of the City of Clarence-Rockland. We are pleased that ATG is investing in our collectivity by building this new state of the art facility in our industrial park. The City is always open for business and this sod-turning ceremony proves that our economic development is booming,” said Mayor Guy Desjardins.    

 

Orleans based, OakWood Designers & Builders are a well-known and prestigious design-build firm and are renowned for their building innovation and technology enablement as well as LEED construction. OakWood has been commissioned to manage the design and building of ATG's new manufacturing facility. OakWood has partnered with PCL, one of North America's largest construction companies, and IDEA architectural and engineering as well as other local companies. The leading-edge building is described as a 1 to 2 storey technologically enabled building which will house offices and the complete process manufacturing facility. The primary objective of this new facility is to lean out of the manufacturing process and meet their current as well as their future needs with the allowance for future company growth.

The facility will include multiple first floor offices for the manufacturing personnel, second floor offices for administration, state-of-the-art manufacturing and finishing facilities, loading bays, and a modern lunch room with built in kitchen. The project is estimated to be completed in the spring of 2019.
