Laurier Street - Work to begin shortly

ROCKLAND – July 3rd 2015 - At a special meeting held on June 30th, the Municipal Council of the City of Clarence-Rockland mandated the contractor Normand Excavation to undertake the sewer repair works on Laurier Street.

On April 4th last, a sewage system overflow occurred at the intersection of Laurier and St-Jean Streets which has required the temporary replacement of a portion of the pipe. We must now replace this temporary pipe along with an additional section of sewer pipes.

The work process has started although it is not visible at this time. Unfortunately, there are some delays in the schedule, which are due to complications with the placement of pipes for the storm and sanitary sewers. The new scheduled date of completion is now August 14th 2015.

The City of Clarence-Rockland is organizing an information session for the affected ratepayers. The new timetable as well as an update of the work will be presented at that time. The details of this meeting will be communicated shortly.

The City of Clarence-Rockland thanks you for your patience and understanding.
