Flooding - The City recommends preventive evacuation

CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – May 3rd, 2017 – Given the flooding situation on some municipal roads, the City of Clarence-Rockland is currently recommending that all affected seek temporary shelter elsewhere until flood waters recede. As a result of the flooding, the response time of emergency services is severely limited because the roads are impassable.

The City continues to monitor the situation. Should the situation continue to deteriorate further, measures may need to be taken.

Should residents require bags and sand there are filling sites at:

  • 700 Industrielle Road at the Waste Water Treatment Plant
  • At the intersection of Voisine Road and County Road 17
  • At the end of Woods Street, near the river

Please leave the shovels at the site.

For any life threatening situation, please call 911.

For urgent public works request (i.e. lack of sand bag supplies) please call 613.248.9809
